Valentines Day Project

Hey!

Miss me?  Ya, I’m a rockstar at blogging let me tell ya.  Not going to even appologize since we all know I’m going to just keep doing it.  And I strongly believe an appology should indicate an action of change.  I’d love to go on about how busy life is – which it is.  And how 3 kids take up most of my time – which they do.  And yada yada the list goes on.  But….truth is, I HATE blogging.  I dont read other blogs, I view blog photos.  And I am the worst writer on the planet earth, which my sister loves to remind me of….

But, good news! Today I have a new blog post for you!  Might be 6 months before there is another, so enjoy this one! Ha!  Or just go follow me at Zander & Breck Photography on Facebook, I’m great at updating that!

Valentines Project

I was cruising Pinterest the other day and came across this adorable Valentines project that I so wanted to do with Cohen, my oldest.  But the more I got to thinking the more I realized – what boy wants to bring photos of himself to school for V-day????  He choose batman or superman cards over photo shoot everytime.  So, I got creative!  I asked him “Hey! Want to be a football player or super hero, snap some photos, and make valentine cards with candy?”  his response “YEAH!!!! That would be AWESOME!”  Jackpot!  We had struck a deal, and both were equally thrilled!

Fastest project EVER! (well once I had found all the product!)

It involves: -10 min photoshoot (max)

-4×5 printed photos

-4×5 plastic baggies (from Micheals)

-candy

-stapler

All I did was fold the 4×5 printed photo in half (you could do a 4×6 as well, but you would have to cut an inch off the bottom.) I then added some candy to the baggie – I then cut 1/3 off the top of the baggie to make it shorter.  Finally I stapled the folded photo to top of baggie after filling it with the yummy chocolate…well what was left of it, I mean it wasn’t like I snacked on ALL of it. (That did make it more expensive b/c I just could NOT resist the reeces!)

But now my son couldn’t be more happier, or me!  He wanted to take them to school this week already!

Here are some photos of the final project:

If you are interested in a mini session for Valentines email me for details.  I have a few available session times Sat. Feb 2  - with everything printed by Feb. 7!  ZanderBreck@gmail.com
